In 1815, Napoleon took back the reins of power and decided to attack the new coalition that was formed against him. At the head of his army, he headed for Beaumont, which became the first stage of the Belgian campaign. Thanks, among other things, to the study of the municipal archives, this work highlights the importance of Beaumont where Napoleon developed his strategy with the modest collaboration of the town's "Postmaster"!
