Pyrrhus is a name that still resonates thanks to an expression "Pyrrhic Victory", synonymous with winning at the cost of great losses. However, this king of Epirus marked the military and political history of his time.

Pyrrhus took part in the wars between the Diadochi, the heirs of the empire of Alexander the Great, of whom he was related. He then spent the rest of his life fighting in Macedonia, Greece, Italy, Sicily against the Romans, Carthaginians, Spartans. He finally died in combat and, through his exploits, he would be the model for Hannibal.

This book combines a historical study of the epic of Pyrrhus and a game. It includes 20 battle scenarios (encounters, sieges, ambushes, etc.) led by Pyrrhus and his sons, playable individually or in the form of a campaign. It allows you to recreate these clashes with different game rules (Saga, DBA, ADG...).

Authors: Patrick Receveur & Franck Fiat
Preface: Yann le Bohec

The first 100 buyers will receive an exclusive metal figurine of Pyrrhus.

Des scénarios pour toutes les règles?

Le concept est intéressant, on a le contexte, la description des armée et leurs particularités, puis des listes pour les règles les "plus" utilisées. Beau travail! Bon, ma règle usuelle et préférée "To the Strongest!" est absente. Mais je pense que malgré tout, il me sera assez facile de faire l'adaption. Je demande plus d'ouvrages comme celui-ci!
